These terms are between you and Galix Studios Pty Ltd (ABN 22 703 560 141) ("we"). By using Couchful you agree to them. If you downloaded the app from the App Store, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.
Playing Couchful
- Couchful is a game for people in the same room. Play kindly: anyone can skip any card, and nobody should be pressured into answering, doing a dare or touching anyone.
- Dares and challenges must stay safe and legal. Don't do anything that could hurt you, anyone else or anyone's property, and never involve people who haven't agreed to play.
- You're responsible for what you and your group choose to do while playing.
- 18+ content (web game only). The app has none. In the web game, the 18+ crowd and After Dark are for adults only. Turning them on confirms everyone playing is 18 or over.
- Drinking games (web game only). The app has none. In the web game, the optional drinking mode is only for adults of legal drinking age where they are (21 in the US). Sips are small, water always counts, nobody has to drink, and never drink and drive. Drinking mode is off unless an adult turns it on.
Purchases and refunds
Couchful Plus is a one-time purchase: no subscription and no renewal. Apple or Google process the payment, and refunds go through Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com) or Google Play (your order history in the Play Store). If something doesn't work, email us first - we'd rather fix it. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or the consumer laws where you live.
Our content
The cards, games, design and name Couchful are ours. You may use them for your own play and share images of cards you save (that's what "Save image" is for). Please don't copy the card collection to publish or sell elsewhere.
Your content
Cards you write stay on your device unless you share them. You're responsible for what you write and share: nothing unlawful, hateful or sexual, and nothing that targets a real person. Don't use house cards or share codes to bully or harass anyone. A word filter on your device holds back cards with slurs, strong swearing or explicit words, and shared cards are shown to the person receiving them before anything is added. We can't see anyone's house cards (there is no server), but if someone shares an abusive card with you, delete it and tell us: use Report a problem in the app or support@galixstudios.com.
Liability
Couchful is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect loss, or for what happens when people act on a card. Where the Australian Consumer Law gives you guarantees that can't be excluded, our liability is limited (where the law allows) to supplying the service again or refunding what you paid.
Changes
We may update these terms; the new version will be published here with a new date. Continuing to use Couchful means you accept them.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
